So, here we are in Spain. We started by landing in Barcelona and after a Spanglish conversation with the lady at the hire car counter, we got the keys and proceeded to its allocated lot... only to find our car was smaller than the one Jack booked. Oh well, at least it goes and has places to put our luggage.

Navigating ourselves through the city to our Hotel proved a bit of a tricker task than anticipated due to the lack of street signs visible from the main road. After circling the area near our Hotel for a while, we realise that a little lane that looks like a pedestrian walk way is actuall the road we need to take - the little barrier at the entrance helped it look like a walkway. After seeing a local lower the barrier by pushing a button on a graffiti ridden box (of course....so obvious...) we finally knew how to get to our Hotel. We squeezed the car into the car park underneath and checked in. Finally, it was warm! Well, warmer than London anyway.

We hit the streets to see the nightlife and have a last night dinner (or more like an'our time' dinner). The Spanish speakers here were quite friendly and willing to allow us to speak our bad Spanish and get some practice. Later, we would find this wouldn't always be the case as we drive along the coast but we wouldn't really expect otherwise.
